The Plaza gives your dog a true New York welcome, and a generous one: dogs stay free, most rooms are dog friendly, and they are welcome through the public areas and shops, with no weight limit and up to two per room.

Central Park is the whole point, right across the street for every walk, and the team will suggest routes or arrange a dog walker. Dog beds and bowls come as standard, and a VIP Pampered Pup package adds a robe and welcome food.

It is refreshingly clear about the rest. Dogs are not in the bar, restaurant or terrace, but they can stay in the room while you are out, and there is no damage deposit to find.
